Terra Nullius

The Latin term Terra Nullius translates as “no man’s land” and was used by European explorers to describe unknown territories and lands that were not claimed by rival European colonisers.

It is the title for a series of images that juxtaposes photographs taken before and after my migration to Australia in 1991. Images from Tasmania are combined with crops from photographs taken in Berlin during the years immediately following German reunification.
