1994 "What has brought them to this temple... Escape from everyday life, with its painful crudity and hopeless dreariness from the fetters of one's own desires. A finely tempered nature longs to escape from this noisy cramped surroundings into the high mountains where the eye ranges freely through the still pure air and fondly traces out the restful contours apparently built for eternity." (Albert Einstein) In our society the car has become one of the most important symbols of escape and personal freedom. Trying to leave everyday life behind we often sit in it for hours. But while we travel in distance the space inside the closed up environment of the vehicle doesn't change at all. In Insights the car offers no escape any more.
